Stainless steel strip, simply put, is an extension of ultra-thin stainless steel plate, used to meet the industrial production needs of various metal or mechanical products in different industrial sectors. According to different production processes, stainless steel strips can be divided into cold-rolled strips and hot-rolled strips. Cold-rolled strips are made of stainless steel strips/coils and are rolled through cold rolling mills at room temperature. The thickness is less than 0.1mm~3mm and the width is less than 100mm~2000mm. Hot-rolled strips are made by hot rolling mills, with thicknesses from 1.80mm to 6.00mm and widths from 50mm to 1200mm.
The characteristics that distinguish hot and cold rolled strips are as follows:
1. Cold-rolled stainless steel strips have better strength and yield, while hot-rolled stainless steel strips have better ductility and toughness.
2. Cold-rolled sainless steel strips are superior to hot-rolled stainless steel plates in terms of surface quality, appearance and dimensional accuracy.
3. Cold-rolled stainless steel strips are generally thinner, while hot-rolled strips are thicker.
