Conditions for 304 Stainless Steel Pipe Annealing

1. Furnace tightness

The valve of the bright annealing furnace is closed and isolated from the outside air, if hydrogen is used as the maintenance gas, then only need one exhaust port.

2. Water vapor in the furnace

Checking the charge to know if it is dry and the 304 stainless steel pipe entering the furnace is excessively water-containing.

3. Maintain the air pressure

In order to avoid the occurrence of micro-leakage, the maintenance gas in the furnace should maintain a certain positive pressure. If it is hydrogen maintenance gas, usually it need to exceed 20kBar.

4. Does the annealing temperature reach normal temperature? The heat treatment of 304 stainless steel pipe adopts solution heat treatment, which is commonly referred to as annealing, and the temperature scale is 1040~1120℃.

5. Annealing atmosphere

The annealing atmosphere of 304 stainless steel pipe is mainly selected from pure hydrogen. Because the purity of the atmosphere can not get to 100%.
