Stainless steel seamless pipe and carbon steel seamless pipe are widely used in industry,

1. Stainless steel becoming harden during cold working, for example, it has anisotropy during bending, the transverse and longitudinal properties are different. The strength increased by cold working, but if the bending area is small comparing to the total area and it can be ignored, the increased strength can improve the safety factor.

2. The shape of the stress/strain curve is different. The elastic limit of stainless steel is about 50% of the yield stress. As far as the small value specified in the standard is concerned, the yield stress value is lower than that of medium carbon steel.

3. Stainless steel has no yield point. Usually 60.2 is used to indicate that the yield stress is regarded as the local value.
